Feedback from clients of portrait artist Susan Capan
(Portrait commissioned by daughter for mother's 70th birthday as she had no wedding photos. I was given two separate black and white photos of the couple at the age they were when marrried and some older coloured photos.)

To say Trish loved your painting is an understatement. Both parents were in shock when they saw the painting - they just could not get over it. And how extra special to meet the fabulous artist responsible. Trish says this was the best birthday she has ever had! She is taking appointments for viewings.

Hi Susan, I just wanted to thank you for making our 35th anniversary so great! When our daughter surprised us with the brilliant painting you did, I burst into tears and my husband nearly collapsed we were so surprised and thrilled. The fact that we lost all our wedding and family photos saddened us but the couple remaining photos that you patched together to make up the painting has been an outstanding success! It brings the memory of the day back to life for us, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you so much for the painting of our poor old dog, 'Chopper', we loved him so much and now have something beautiful to remember him by even though the photos we gave you were very dark you managed to bring out his features and have him looking as he did, thank you again.

When we presented the painting you did of the old family property to the Queensland Dairy Board member in front of hundreds of people at the Hyatt in Brisbane, there was a glistening in his eyes and we later found him sitting in his hotel room on a chair staring at the painting and softly crying, he loved it so much. Thank you Susan you did a great job!

Thank you so much for the very Australian, 'Sulpur Crested Cockatoo' in watercolour which I bought from your gallery. Its' outspread wings are very expressive and I can almost hear it screeching to remind me of Australia where I was born. I have it in pride of place in my office where my clients all remark on it and I love it. Thank you !

Hiya Susan, Merry Christmas !!!!!!! and a bloody big Thank You the painting is awesome, it arrived here on Monday all ok!!! I came home to this wonderful sight, my friend came over yesterday to see how i was going and i surprised her with her painting OMG!!!! you might not believe this but she was ecstatic i have never seen her so excited in all the 10 years i've known her, truly she was jumping up and down endlessly my partner had to quieten her down lol...she just moved her horses (on monday)to a new place and she said she just can't believe that the painting of the trees and the fence etc. is exactly like where her horses are now homed, she was so taken back by that she is going to take some photo's to show me lmao....(i think you may be psychic now too)...now she is a very gentle quiet soul (normally) but i bet she is still jumping around like a mad woman today lol...you did a fine job,lovey :O) i really appreciated the whole experience from start to finish..ok will be quiet now but just had to tell you how impressed we all were...have yourself an awesome christmas and new year , best wishes, Chris (Brisbane)

Hi Susan , thankyou , thankyou ,thankyou , your photograph of the painting doesn't do it justice , it is beautifull , we opened the box , well , it took our breaths , absolutely beautifull , you have captured the beauty of Mt Tenandra , it maked you feel that you could just step into the long grass and just wander to your hearts desire or sit under the trees in the shade and gaze at The Warrumbungles , i absolutely love it , i'm positive my Mum will love it too , thank you ,all of my sincerest thank you's and respect , Kathy .x.x.x.x Hunter Valley, N.S.W.
